Excellent meal at a lovely village pub which has lovely staff (nothing was too much trouble) and the prices were reasonable as well. Great place. We're not local but will be back again. This was our 4th visit in 4 years and it's been like this on every occasion.

Since they altered it I have not been. A friend and I went over one when it reopened. And couple sat outside as we were going in and they turned to us and don't think we would be welcome in the pub. So we walked away and l was born in the village.

Proper village pub. Easy to get a conversation. Decent pint. Did not eat but food looked and smelled fantastic. Very pleasant staff. Well worth a visit Easy access of A1 in both directions. Very large garden for summer evenings. Also has separate dining area.

Lovely country pub - 5 mins from A1 We found this on way from Sheffield to Cambridge, lovely food, great menu, staff very helpful and pleasant. would recommend and go back.

Food and service is outstanding. Highly recommend. I've taken my dad on various occasions when he comes to help with the build of our VW Eternity Campervans. We normally have Pie a Chips but today was a sunday menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Fillet, my dad had a massive plate of Scampi. It looked lovely.

Staff are friendly and it's my favourite pub in Long Bennington. Often stop off after work for a coffee or cold beverage. They've also got a lovely beer garden.

Always a good meal and very friendly, great to go on a Friday evening after the working week is done.

Great village pub. An ideal stop off on the A1. Food is very good we had Sunday dinner. Staff and beer also excellent. Highly recommended. Book if you can. It gets busy at times.

Highly overrated. Food was ok, nothing more. If you visit with children you will be made to feel very unwelcome.

Been going in there the last 20 years the latest landlord has made a massive in improvement food excellent and staff always very friendly

Came out for lunch, actually went to the reindeer first but it was full and the Royal Oak was recommended by another customer. Lovely welcome, friendly staff. Food was lovely, freshly cooked and we both enjoyed our meals. Will definitely return 🙂

Good beer not much room to get to the bar when busy

Staff unfriendly although mentioned in a number of guides, NOT dog friendly.Sadly a miserable time in what looked like a nice pub.

A jewel in the crown. Always a warm welcome. A beautiful pub with outstanding beer garden.A great selection of real ales, largers and extensive wine list.I have only eaten on two occasions and found the food to be exceptional.A pure gem.
